Manufacturing / Quality

All Hegu acupuncture needles are produced in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, in compliance with the latest regulatory and technical standards, and are certified by TÜV Germany according to the ISO13485 standard.

Hegu Classic, Xeno and Pura are produced by a family company with more than 35 years’ experience. Hegu Onex and Hegu Dry needles are produced by Hwato – one of the world's biggest and best-known acupuncture needle manufacturers, with more than 150 years of history.

Our manufacturing partners take pride in meeting the highest safety and quality standards that our customers and patients have come to expect. Stringent quality control is applied throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring a consistent, reliable and safe product.

The base material for all Hegu acupuncture needles is exceptional quality Japanese steel. We ensure the sterility of our products by using advanced EOG (ethylene oxide gas) sterilisation processes.

The reverse of the blister pack of each needle shows a record of the manufacturing details, including information about the shipment and sterilisation history. All needles can be traced by the unique lot number and expiration date printed on the blister, in line with the CE MDD directive.
